BANGKOK (AP) — Rain eased in Thailand 's capital on Sunday, but flooding persisted in several low-lying areas, with thousands forced to move into temporary shelters.

Bangkok has recorded nearly twice its average September rainfall, with flooding reported across 21 Thai provinces.

Rainfall over the past three days has caused heavy flooding in the Thai capital. A state of disaster has been declared in all 50 districts in Bangkok.
